Sarah Hyland’s Story of Strength
In this article, the actress and inspiration Sarah Hyland opens up about her health struggles (physical and mental), relationships, story, and life in general. I recommend you watch the YouTube video and read the entire article in Self Magazine. She displays so much poise, wittiness and humor, grace, resiliency, beauty, and courage in this article and in life as a whole. This article is truly one of the most inspirational stories I have ever read, especially by a celebrity who is constantly in the limelight. She is using her power and success for good and being the light for others to look at in an often seemingly dark world. Hyland is well known for her role as Haley Dunphy in the ABC show Modern Family. She talks about many of the things I often struggle with, think, and tell myself. She is the true embodiment of a warrior, especially a strong and empowering woman warrior. Like she says, we have all these amazing people and things in our life to be grateful for. On the side, we also have our own struggles- whether that physical health issues, mental illnesses, grief, loss, divorce, abuse, etc. Yet, those struggles should not and do not hold us back from becoming the person we are called to be. Rather, it gives us all the more reason to keep going and fighting.
- “Scars are scars. They are little tally marks of what you have been through as a human being.”
- “I think love is the most important thing on this earth…obviously love and health. But, love will get you through that. That’s what keeps me going.”
